The Foundation does its best to spread the word about the dangers of carbon monoxide whenever and wherever it can. We also undertake a number of fundraising activities throughout the year to provide funds for our carbon monoxide donation program. Here is what we have been doing lately.
John Gignac concludes a CO safety talk to the "Over '70s Club" at a church in his hometown of Brantford, Ontario. More than 50 people attended. He awards one lucky attendee with a free carbon monoxide alarm, kindly supplied by Kidde Canada.
John Gignac was invited to Canada's west coast to discuss carbon monoxide safety at the annual conference of the Association of Fire Prevention Officers of British Columbia. He travelled north to beautiful Williams Lake and enjoyed tremendous fellowship with his hosts, while he stressed to fire departments the importance of including CO safety along with fire safety messages.
